Privacy policy

Re:visit is a Chrome extension that saves web pages you choose and brings them back for review on a spaced-repetition schedule. This policy explains what it handles and where that information goes.

What Re:visit stores

Only what you save and how your reviews went:

• the address (URL) and title of each page you save, and the site name taken from its address;
• the category you file it under, if any;
• its review schedule: when you saved and last reviewed it, how you graded it, and when it is next due;
• your settings, such as where new pages are saved and your scheduling options.

Re:visit never reads the content of the pages you visit. It reads the address and title of the current tab only when you ask it to: when you open its popup, press its save shortcut, or choose “Save this page” or “Save this link” from the right-click menu.

Where it is kept

Everything stays on your device, in Chrome’s extension storage (chrome.storage.local). Re:visit has no servers and sends nothing anywhere: no page addresses, no usage data, no analytics, and no crash reports. It shows no ads and loads no code from the internet.

The information is removed when you delete a page or category in Re:visit, or when you remove the extension from Chrome.

Export and import

Export creates a JSON file of your saved pages, categories and settings, and saves it where you choose. Import reads such a file back. Both happen only when you ask, and the file goes nowhere else unless you move it yourself.

Sharing

Re:visit does not sell, transfer or share your information with anyone. Its use of this information is limited to the feature you see: saving pages and scheduling their reviews.

Permissions

• storage: keeps the data described above on your device.
• activeTab: reads the current tab’s address and title when you use Re:visit on it.
• contextMenus: adds the two save items to the right-click menu.
• alarms: updates the count of due pages on the toolbar icon when a page falls due.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
